A gift through our Grateful Patients and Families program is the perfect way to honor a caregiver at Cape Fear Valley Health who made a difference to you or your family. It is an opportunity to say thank you and make a gift in appreciation of your caregiver. Your caregiver will be recognized in front of their peers and Cape Fear Valley Health leadership with a lapel pin and a certificate signed by the Cape Fear Valley Health Chief Executive Officer. Your gift enables us to continue to provide the exceptional care you received as a patient.
Every year on March 30, we pause to recognize the importance of physicians and the compassion and dedication with which they practice medicine. The day is also an opportunity to make a contribution to Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation in honor of a physician who has provided you and your family exceptional care.
For over 30 years, the grand magnolia tree on the front lawn of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center has been illuminated during the holiday season and it serves as a beacon of hope and healing for many in our community. It has become a symbol of gratitude for many in our community for the care they have received at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Over the years, donors have chosen to honor individuals by sponsoring a lifetime light on the tree. Lights may be sponsored with an unrestricted gift of $250 to Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation. Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation appreciates the many businesses, civic groups and individuals who raise money on our behalf through a number of different types of events. Cape Fear Valley Health team members are encouraged to be a part of the annual employee giving campaign. Gifts can be made through a recurring payroll deduction, a one-time cash, check, credit card or payroll gift, or by donating unused paid time off hours. Gifts may be directed to any fund held by Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, including the Lighthouse Society, a program that assists employees who experience catastrophic events, such as a serious illness, or major loss of property, which cause financial distress.
