Resident Matthew Walker, DO helps Cape Fear Valley care for the future. The Center for Medical Education & Research will become the new home for our Residency Program in 2022.

Residents care for our community while training at Cape Fear Valley. The Center for Medical Education will bring hundreds of new doctors to serve our region.

Residents learn from top-notch physicians specializing in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gyn, and Psychiatry.

The Center's Simulation Labs will give residents hands-on training with responsive mannequins and digital technology replicating real-world medical scenarios.

The Center will also provide a new home for Cape Fear Valley's Neuroscience Institute, providing room for this department to grow and enhance patient care.

Cape Fear Valley broke ground on the Center for Medical Education & Research in January 2021.

With your help, the Center for Medical Education & Research will open in summer 2022.
